Service Engineer

Location: The Woodlands, TX
Reports To: General Manager, QA Service Center
Start Date:  ASAP

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will apply your customer service skills to support clients regionally. In this high-impact/high-visibility role, you will be a key member of our “QA Certified” initiative, our exciting new program involving pre-owned and refurbished instrumentation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reconfigure and refurbish previously owned analytical instrumentation inventory
  • Deliver remote customer support via email, phone, video chat from company office located in The Woodlands, TX
  • Develop positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and end users
  • Support sales, marketing and operations team with configuration and technical information
  • Display professionalism, understanding, tact, and technical knowledge during interactions with customers and team members
  • Utilize internal resources and team support for exceptional and positive customer experience
  • Work with vendors to resolve customer issues and improve processes
  • Provide onsite support and training to customer base (includes installation, repair, upgrades, training, and preventative maintenance services)
  • Manage travel arrangements and expenses (adhering to company travel policy) and report expenses in a timely manner
  • Complete required documentation and update company CRM related to service activity
  • Participate in regular staff meetings
  • May be required to perform other related duties as require and/or assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • Experience in lab environment or field service role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Aptitude for learning new analytical instruments and techniques
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing schedule or conditions
  • Available to travel regionally 15-25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, accountability, and a great attitude
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex analytical instrumentation
  • Experience delivering remote, virtual, or onsite customer training

Work Conditions:

Working conditions may vary from office to industrial laboratory and process environments. This is not a remote field service position; however, limited regional and some national travel will be required.

Shipping & Receiving Associate

Shipping & Receiving Associate
The Woodlands, TX
Reports to the Director of Operations

How will you make an impact?

As Shipping and Receiving Associate, you are responsible for shipping and receiving duties company wide. In this role you will work closely with internal personnel and shipping companies to ensure a smooth shipping and receiving process. Maintaining professional communication with colleagues, customers, and vendors is essential. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull, package, and ship orders
  • Work with customs broker to clear international shipments
  • Track lost packages
  • Order shipping supplies
  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Schedule pick-ups with customers
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
  • Handle general warehouse duties outlined by management
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed
  • Data entry in company CRM as needed
  • Primary contact for wholesale events

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year shipping and receiving experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly driven, motivated self-starter, and independent worker

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge with FedEx Ship Manager
  • Salesforce experience

Work Conditions: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
